Amundi appoints Monica Defend as Global Head of Research Amundi

Amundi announces the appointment of Monica Defend as Global Head of Research. She takes over from Philippe Ithurbide, who has become Senior Economic Advisor to the General Management of Amundi.
Monica Defend, Global Head of Research
Monica was previously Deputy Head of Group Research and member of the Global Investment Committee of Amundi since 2017. In her role she contributed to the definition of Amundi’s investment strategy on financial markets. Prior to that, she was Global Head of Asset Allocation Research and previously, Head of Quantitative Research at Pioneer Investments. After being a University assistant for the Advanced Econometrics department in Bocconi University, Monica started her carrier in the investment industry in 1997.
Monica holds a Masters’ degree in Economics (Bocconi University) and Financial Economics from the London Business School and Bocconi University.
