Amundi announces the appointment of Yerlan Syzdykov as Global Head of Emerging Markets.

Previously Deputy Head of the investment platform dedicated to Emerging Markets, Yerlan Syzdykov is appointed Global Head of Emerging Markets at Amundi. In this role, he is responsible for managing and developing the investment platform covering all expertise (debt and equity) of the emerging markets universe. Amundi’s Emerging Markets platform manages over 40 billion euro and includes 70 dedicated investment professionals.
Yerlan takes over from Mauro Ratto who has decided to explore new opportunities for the next stage of his career. We thank him for his contribution to the integration of Pioneer Investments.
Yerlan has been Deputy Head of Emerging Markets at Amundi since July 2017. Prior to this, he was head of Emerging Markets Bond & High Yield with Pioneer Investments. Before joining Pioneer Investments in 2000, he worked for a number of companies in London and Paris on emerging markets. He started his career as an EM Equity analyst with Renaissance Capital in Moscow.
Yerlan Syzdykov completed a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of South Carolina and holds a degree in Economic Cybernetics from the University of Novosibirsk.
