Matteo Germano
- Deputy Group CIO
Matteo has been deputy Group CIO and Member of Amundi's General Management Committee and Executive Committee since February 2022. Previsous to that, he was Global Head of Multi-Asset at Amundi as well as Chief investment Officer for Italy since 2017. He is a member of the Global Management Committee, the Executive Management Committee and of several supervisory boards.
Matteo leads the Amundi Multi-Asset platform that manages €297[1] billion over a wide range of investment strategies, encompassing asset allocation, stocks and fund selection. In addition, the platform offers a set of advisory services including asset liability management, asset allocation overlay, manager selection and fiduciary management. Prior to that he was Head of Global Research & Multi Asset Portfolio Management at Pioneer Investments, before becoming Head of Global Investment Solutions from 2008 to 2017. Matteo joined the UniCredit Group in 1996 covering different roles in Research, later moving to the Asset Management division to lead the Fundamental and Quantitative Research teams before assuming responsibilities for Multi-Asset strategies. Matteo started his career with Eurispes, a UK Institute for Social and Economic Research and Furman Selz.
Matteo is an Economics graduate of the University of Genova, and completed an MSc in Finance at the University of London.
