Amundi announces the appointment of Aidan Yao as Senior Investment Strategist, Asia within its research arm, the Amundi Investment Institute. Aidan is based in Hong Kong. His appointment will strengthen further Amundi’s investment capabilities in Asia, a region in which it is steadily reinforcing its expertise.
Aidan Yao is Senior Investment Strategist, Asia for Amundi, based in Hong Kong.
Prior to joining Amundi in October 2024, he was Chief Economist, Global Macro, Investment Strategy and Asset Allocation Research at Long Shine Asset Management in Hong Kong. Before that, he spent 10 years at AXA Investment Managers serving as Senior Emerging Asia Economist of Global Macro Research. From 2011 to 2013, he held manager role at Research Department at Hong Kong Monetary Authority. From 2007 to 2011, he was a Senior Economist at Economic Department and Financial Market Department at Reserve Bank of New Zealand.
Aidan holds a Master’s degree of Business in Finance and a Bachelor's degree of Commerce in Economics and Finance from University of Otago. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst holder.
