Amundi will bring together leading global economic voices to decode the new “Age of Empires”
Amundi will host the 16th edition of the Amundi World Investment Forum in Paris on June 11th and 12th, a major event for investors looking to decipher major global economic trends and their implications for investment portfolios and long‑term allocation.
More than 900 experts from finance, business, public policy and academia are expected for this 16th edition, which will bring together participants from 80 countries.
A 2026 edition to understand and leverage new global dynamics
Under the title “Age of Empires? Power and Potential (Remastered)”, this edition will explore how geopolitical realignments, new alliances and power balances - amplified by demographic shifts, technological advances and climate change - are reshaping the investment landscape.
In a context where the world economy is adapting to a regime of “managed disorder,” the Forum will notably examine:
- The evolution of international monetary order: how will central bank independence hold up under pressure?
- How are economic players adapting to an increasingly transactional and fragile international order?
- The quest for strategic autonomy: how are regions addressing economic, industrial and technological sovereignty?
- What progress is being made in financing the energy transition and retirement systems?
The 2026 edition will once again feature the participation of high-level experts:
- Janet Yellen, US Secretary of the Treasury (2021-2025), Chair, Board of Governors, Federal Reserve System (2014–2018)
- Philippe Aghion, 2025 Nobel Prize in Economics Laureate, Professor of Economics at Collège de France, INSEAD and London School of Economics
James Bullard, President of Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (2008-2023), Dean of Purdue University's School of Business
“Over the years, the Amundi World Investment Forum has established itself as a benchmark event for shedding light on major global economic issues. In some respects, today’s world resembles an ‘Age of Empires’, with balances of power being rapidly reshaped and constrained. In this context, our priority is to support our clients and partners by decoding these transformations, tempering uncertainty through relevant analysis, and identifying the best investment opportunities. We are therefore particularly honored to welcome Janet Yellen once again, who will share her insights on the balance between economic and monetary policies in a tense political climate, as well as Philippe Aghion, who will present his vision of the levers that can foster innovation and build sustainable growth,” said Valérie Baudson, Chief Executive Officer of Amundi.
The programme includes presentations by:
- Philippe Aghion, 2025 Nobel Prize in Economics Laureate, Professor of Economics at Collège de France, INSEAD and London School of Economics
- Sumeet Bhambri, Global Head, Advisory & Managed Investments Wealth Solutions, Standard Chartered Bank
- James Bullard, President of Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (2008-2023), Dean of Purdue University's School of Business
