On June 13 and 14, Amundi will be holding the 14th edition of its World Investment Forum at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris, an event where leading experts discuss macroeconomic, geopolitical and economic transformation topics.
An event to make sense of global economic trends
For over 10 years, the Amundi World Investment Forum has established itself as one of the leading events for deciphering major global economic trends and their implications for investment. Every year, over 650 experts from the worlds of finance, business, politics and economic research gather in Paris, representing more than 80 countries.
Previous editions have welcomed renowned speakers such as Douglas W. Diamond, Nobel Prize winner in economics, Mario Draghi, Italian Prime Minister and former President of the European Central Bank, and Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State of the United States.
Amundi will be welcoming a number of high-level experts to this year's event, including:
- Gordon Brown, Prime minister of Great Britain (2007-2010) & Chancellor of the Exchequer (1997 – 2007),
- Sanna Marin, Prime minister & Head of Government of Finland (2019-2023).
Themes and speakers - Adaptation in motion: setting out a new way forward
The theme of this year's Forum will focus on the many transformations underway in the economic landscape, under the title: “Adaptation in Motion: Setting out a new way forward”.
Indeed, despite ongoing geopolitical tensions, 2024 should see the volatility and uncertainty of recent years ease somewhat, but adaptation remains a top priority. Monetary policy should normalise as the growth versus inflation dilemma subsides. Meanwhile, societies will work to absorb the technological revolution that AI is accelerating. Decarbonising all the world’s economies is urgent—yet the global energy transition still faces major hurdles. The next Amundi World Investment Forum will explore how policymakers, financial services and investors can meet these challenges.
